Timelapse 2/16 to 2/22

This weekends project! 2/22/14

So this past week they completed the pour of the entrance stair well walls as well as the retaining wall along the driveway. Our task this weekend was to remove all the formboards and backfill the drainage behind the retaining wall with drainrock then dirt. It was a lot of earthmoving for 1 day!

Some leveling remains for the driveway. After that we'll put some large rock so we can start taking deliveries all the way up the driveway.

This weekends progress & digging shots..

We were out this long weekend digging. We had to get the top of the crawlspace lowered by about 6 inches to meet code (distance to wood). We're going to encapsulate the crawlspace but the building code doesn't account for that apparently. They also made good progress on the retaining wall for the driveway. Even with the large amount of rain I think we'll be able to finish this part of the project in the next week.

What we dug out. The requirement was 18" from the lower wall.

Wood Recycling!

So this weekend was about waste removal. We had 5-6k worth of form boards and wood that was used in the construction of the foundation. We got a dumpster up for recycling of the wood. Unfortunately in order to recycle we had to remove all the nails. So this weekend 2 of us went up there and pulled nails out of hundreds of boards and filled up a dumpster for boards to be recycled.

the pile!
almost done with the pile!
at the end of the day.. dumpster mostly full
We still ended up keeping alot of the 2x12's since theres still a ton of work left to do that may require some wood.
